Position Title: Principal Electrical/Instrumentation Designer

Location: Houston, TX

Position Description

The Principal Electrical/Instrumentation Designer is responsible for performing detail design activities within the Electrical/Instrumentation discipline.

Essential Functions
  • Perform complex designs and layouts of One-line Diagrams, E/I Plans, Sections & Details, Wiring Diagrams and Schematic Diagrams utilizing CAD hardware and software
  • Train and direct CAD Operators and Designers, as required
  • Review vendor drawings and other documents

Requirements

Qualifications
  • 10 or more years of design experience in a drafting environment developing One Line Diagrams, Electrical/Instrument plans, sections and details, schematics diagrams and wiring diagrams
  • Minimum of 5 years of CAD experience, including 3D Design
  • Working knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards
  • Latest versions of AutoCAD


Education
  • High school diploma
  • Associate's degree or certification from technical trade school preferred
