The Principal Developer, Visualizations is responsible for designing, developing, and leading the delivery of end-to-end analytics solutions, spanning data modeling, transformation, and visualization to support pre-sale, post-sale, and operational analytics. This role focuses on building scalable data and business intelligence solutions using Snowflake, SQL, and Power BI to deliver actionable insights for clients and internal stakeholders.

The Senior Developer will work closely with analysts, business partners, and cross-functional teams to transform healthcare data-including claims and revenue cycle data, such as 835 and 837 transaction data-into structured data models and meaningful dashboards, visualizations, and decision-support tools. This role requires deep expertise in data modeling, advanced SQL, and Power BI, along with the ability to lead technical design decisions and align solutions with business objectives.

The Senior Developer partners with stakeholders to define KPIs, influence data standards, and deliver high-quality analytics products while owning the full lifecycle from data ingestion through curated models to final reporting and visualization.

You will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable end-to-end analytics solutions from data ingestion through Snowflake and SQL data models to Power BI dashboards and reporting
  • Design and implement robust, scalable Snowflake/SQL data models to support enterprise-level analytics use cases
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL transformations, including data cleansing, enrichment, and aggregation, ensuring high performance and scalability
  • Translate complex and ambiguous business requirements into structured data models and effective visualization solutions, driving clarity and alignment
  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of data across the full data pipeline, demonstrating strong ownership of data quality and governance
  • Analyze large, complex healthcare datasets, including claims, remits, revenue cycle data, and 835/837 transaction data, to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement
  • Design and maintain analytics-ready semantic layers that enable intuitive, scalable, and consistent reporting in Power BI
  • Apply and promote best practices in data modeling, SQL development, and visualization design to ensure high-quality, maintainable solutions
  • Develop and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports that deliver clear, actionable insights aligned with business priorities
  • Drive improvements in data pipelines and reusable data assets to increase efficiency, reduce redundancy, and enable scalable analytics development
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with data engineering, product, and business teams, influencing alignment between upstream data pipelines and downstream analytics solutions
  • Communicate complex technical concepts and analytical findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Operate with a high degree of independence, managing multiple priorities while delivering high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactively identify and resolve data quality, pipeline, and performance issues, driving root cause analysis and long-term solutions
  • Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and healthcare regulatory requirements across the data and analytics lifecycle
  • Lead and contribute to key analytical initiatives including client reporting, pre-sale analytics, and operational performance tracking
  • Evaluate and recommend new data technologies, tools, and methodologies to advance analytics capabilities and improve delivery
