Full Job Description
Provide independent AI, machine learning, and analytical insights using member, financial, and organizational data to support mission critical decision making for Real Estate Lending (REL) Department. Understand business needs and identify opportunities for enhancing member experience and improving internal operations/efficiencies to meet business objectives through the use of cutting-edge AI/data science. Create descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive models, insights, and AI agents to drive impact across REL and NFCU. Regarded as an advanced professional in the AI/data science field. Conduct complex work under minimal supervision and with wide latitude for independent judgment. Mentor lower level staff.

Responsibilities
3 Design, develop, and evaluate large and complex predictive models, advanced algorithms, and LLM-driven AI agents3 Test hypotheses/models, analyze, and interpret results3 Develop actionable insights and recommendations3 Develop and code complex software programs, algorithms, and automated processes3 Use evaluation, judgment, and interpretation to select right course of action3 Work on problems of diverse scopes where analysis of information requires evaluation of identifiable factors3 Produce innovative solutions driven by exploratory data analysis from complex and high-dimensional datasets3 Transform data into charts, tables, or format that aids effective decision making3 Utilize effective written and verbal communication to document analyses and present findings and analyses to a diverse audience of stakeholders3 Develop and maintain strong working relationships with team members, subject matter experts, and leaders3 Lead moderate to large projects and initiatives3 Model best practices and ethical AI3 Works with senior management on complex issues3 Assist with the development and enhancement practices, procedures, and instructions3 Serve as technical resource for other team members3 Mentor lower levels
Qualifications
3 6+ years of experience with requisite competencies3 Complete knowledge and full understanding of specialization3 Statistics, machine learning, data mining, data auditing, aggregation, reconciliation, and visualization3 AI/LLM and agent development experience (prompt engineering, RAG architectures, vector databases, embeddings, AI guardrails, LLM evaluations, fine-tuning fundamentals)3 Programming, data modeling, simulation, and advanced mathematics3 SQL, R, Python/Pyspark, Hadoop, SAS, AWS, Github, APIs3 Databricks, Azure Environment (AI Foundry), Copilot Studio, Power BI3 Technical writing3 Model development and lifecycle execution3 Data storytelling and technical presentation skills3 Research Skills3 Interpersonal Skills3 Advanced knowledge of procedures, instructions and validation techniques3 Communication3 Critical Thinking3 Collaborate and Build Relationships3 Initiative with sound judgement3 Technical (Big Data Analysis, Coding, Project Management, Technical Writing, etc.)3 Independent Judgment3 Problem Solving (Identifies the constraints and risks)3 Bachelors Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computers Science, Engineering, or degrees in similar quantitative fields
