Position
Sacramento Area Sewer District (SacSewer) is currently accepting applications for a Principal Data Management Technicianposition. Applications will be screened after the following filing deadlines at 5PM:

This job class provides lead work direction to District staff and/or oversees and monitors complex data management projects which involves the discussion of problems and the coordination of solutions between multiple users - engineering, engineering support, information technology, operations and maintenance, etc. Utilizes specialized tracking and reporting database applications, computerized control systems applications, computer aided drafting applications, and/or system modeling software applications within the Sacramento Area Sewer District (SacSewer).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Either: 1. Two years of full-time paid experience employed by SacSewer in the class of Senior Data Management Technician or Senior Engineering Technician performing work in the support of sewer systems and/or wastewater treatment facilities.

Or: 2. Three years of full-time paid experience employed by SacSewer in the class of Senior Geographic Information Systems Technician or above performing work in support of sewer systems and/or wastewater treatment facilities.

Or: 3. Two years of full-time paid experience employed by a City, County, sanitation/sewer district, public utility or similar jurisdiction performing work comparable to SacSewer class of Senior Data Management Technician, or Senior Engineering Technician or above performing work in support of sewer systems and/or wastewater treatment facilities.
Or: 4. Three years of full-time paid experience employed by a City, County, sanitation/sewer district, public utility or similar jurisdiction performing work comparable to SacSewer class of Senior Geographic Information Systems Technician or above performing work in support of sewer systems and/or wastewater treatment facilities.
Or: 5. Three years of full-time paid experience employed by a City, County, sanitation/sewer district, public utility or similar jurisdiction performing supervisory work related to the operations and maintenance of sewer systems and/or wastewater treatment facilities which includes the use of computerized systems for examining, inputting and retrieving data.

Note: The experience at the journey level and in a commercial and/or industrial environment may have occurred concurrently.Successful completion of a four-year state accredited carpenter apprenticeship program may substitute for four (4) years of the non-journey level experience. A General Building Contractor license will be accepted as a substitute for the minimum qualifications stated above.
