Summary

TELUS Digital Salesforce Practice is seeking an experienced Education Cloud Architect to lead the design and delivery of transformative Salesforce solutions for higher education institutions. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, providing strategic guidance and architectural leadership across the Salesforce ecosystem.

As an Education Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for defining scalable solution architectures, leading discovery and design workshops, developing implementation roadmaps, and ensuring successful delivery of Education Cloud programs. You will partner with client leadership teams to align technology investments with institutional goals while driving best practices across data architecture, integration strategy, governance, security, and user experience.

The ideal candidate combines deep Education Cloud expertise with strong consulting, leadership, and communication skills and has a proven track record delivering enterprise-scale Salesforce transformations.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end solution architecture for Education Cloud implementations and digital transformation initiatives.

Serve as a strategic advisor to client stakeholders, including executive leadership, business sponsors, and technology teams.

Facilitate discovery workshops to understand institutional objectives, business processes, operational challenges, and future-state requirements.

Develop scalable solution designs, architecture diagrams, data models, and implementation roadmaps aligned with Salesforce and industry best practices.

Architect Education Cloud solutions spanning Recruitment and Admissions, Student Success, Advising, Academic Operations, Advancement, Alumni Relations, and Constituent Engagement.

Define enterprise data architecture, governance frameworks, security models, and integration strategies across Salesforce and external systems.

Lead data migration strategy and planning efforts, ensuring successful transition from legacy student information systems and related platforms.

Provide architectural oversight throughout the project lifecycle, including design reviews, configuration guidance, testing strategy, deployment planning, and post-production optimization.

Collaborate with technical architects, developers, business analysts, and project managers to ensure solution alignment and delivery excellence.

Drive adoption of Salesforce platform capabilities including Flow, OmniStudio, Experience Cloud, Data Cloud, and other Education Cloud components.

Contribute to pre-sales activities, solution estimation, proposal development, and client presentations.

Mentor consultants and solution engineers while promoting architectural standards, delivery methodologies, and best practices across the Salesforce Practice.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Education Technology, or related field.

7+ years of Salesforce platform experience.

3+ years serving as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, Lead Consultant, or equivalent leadership role.

Deep expertise in Education Cloud and higher education business processes.

Strong understanding of Education Cloud data architecture, including person accounts, relationships, affiliations, academic structures, and student lifecycle management.

Experience designing enterprise-scale Salesforce solutions involving multiple clouds, integrations, and complex data migrations.

Proven experience developing enterprise data models, security architectures, and integration frameworks.

Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, declarative architecture, Flow, OmniStudio, Experience Cloud, and related technologies.

Exceptional communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and consulting skills.

Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions and strategic roadmaps.

Salesforce Education Cloud Consultant Certification.

Salesforce Application Architect Certification.

Salesforce System Architect Certification.

Experience with Student Information Systems (SIS), ERP platforms, and higher education technology ecosystems.

Experience leading enterprise data migration and modernization initiatives.

Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and large-scale program execution.
