  • Partner with Technology and Risk stakeholders to establish pragmatic governance approaches for emerging technologies, including AI, ensuring controls and oversight remain risk-based, scalable and appropriate to the underlying use case.
  • Maintain high standards for code quality and application design.
  • Drive strategic technical direction and architecture decisions for the platform.
  • Lead technical design discussions and establish engineering best practices.
  • Identify engineering defects in the existing code base and constantly improve code quality.
  • Build executive business cases for opportunities for larger scale, long term improvements.
  • Serve as last line of technical support and escalation.
  • Work primarily in Java, SQL, TypeScript, React, JavaScript/HTML/CSS.
  • Design and implement SQL, GraphQL APIs and AWS serverless architecture.
  • Create infrastructure-as-code using AWS CDK and SAM.
  • Leverage AI tools for development and product enablement.
  • Participate in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment.
  • Provide strategic oversight of budget and resource planning.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, fostering collaboration, alignment, and effective communication to support business priorities and successful delivery of initiatives.
  • Serve as external face of the engineering team to client organizations and U.S. FinTech leadership.
