Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a Principal CAD/BIM Designer to collaborate with project managers and engineers in developing process mechanical BIM (Revit) models, families, and contract drawings for water, wastewater, and pump station facility projects.
Work Setting: In-person (All in office/field)
Key Responsibilities:- Developing Revit models, families, and contract documents
- Lay out process mechanical piping in Revit to create enlarged plans, sections, and details.
- Coordinate with site civil, structural, architectural, HVAC, electrical, and I&C disciplines to identify and resolve design conflicts.
- Perform clash detection at submittal milestones and support clash resolution.
- Incorporate engineer and CAD/BIM Coordinator redlines into drawings and models.
- Coordinate design submittals with project discipline leads.
- Verify deliverables comply with Hazen and client CAD/BIM standards.
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience, or associate degree/technical certification with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and Autodesk FORMA, formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D is preferred.
- Experience leading and coordinating construction contract drawings for medium- and large-scale projects.
- Experience mentoring early-career designers.
Preferred Qualifications:- Hands-on Revit experience, especially with MEP design
- Process Mechanical Revit experience
- Experience collaborating across disciplines
- Water or wastewater industry experience
