What You’ll get to Do: As a lead Built-In-Test (BIT) Systems Engineer in support of the MLSS business Unit you will apply strong systems engineering knowledge and understanding across disciplines and work with the various systems, hardware, and software teams. - Verifying that BIT Mode functions and systems operate effectively, ensuring errors are captured, corrected, or compensated for without impacting sensor performance. - Derive BIT requirements - Design of the BIT and Fault Isolation/Detection mode(s) - Evaluating the effectiveness of modeling and analysis - Gaining a deep understanding of Sensors Hardware capabilities - Leading a team to develop and integrate software using C++ and Python - Define requirements to maintain system performance. - Verify embedded implementation of the BIT mode. - Produce publication-quality documentation and supporting Factory Test activities - Engaging in system integration and test activities, as well as providing field support. This requestion may be filled as a Principal BIT Systems Engineer or a Senior Principal BIT Systems Engineer This position is contingent upon the successful transfer of an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance prior to start. Primary Level Salary Range: $108,800.00 - $163,200.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $138,500.00 - $203,600.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
