Job Summary

This role executes best-in-class marketing programs across the B2B and sales finance portfolios and channels, including inbound marketing, lead generation, sales enablement, cross-sell/upsell strategies, and retention efforts. Leveraging data-driven insights and deep vertical expertise, this role drives impactful, profit-oriented campaigns that deliver measurable value to merchants, brand partners, and the organization. The incumbent is responsible for developing B2B2C and sales finance marketing strategies, managing execution, and delivering performance reporting for B2B and sales finance initiatives, with a focus on driving sustainable growth in acquisition, brand awareness, and overall business expansion for B2B and sales finance products and partnerships channels.

Essential Job Functions

  • Drives the execution of internal and external marketing campaigns to support growth strategies, working closely with the Sales Team and Account Managers to manage existing accounts. Collaborates with the B2B Marketing Director and cross-department stakeholders to ensure alignment and strategic success. - (30%)
  • Analyze complex business challenges, collaborate with stakeholders, and deliver professional, articulate presentations (internal and brand facing). Facilitate meetings to align on goals and strategies, leveraging industry benchmarks and a test-and-learn approach to identify and implement innovative marketing strategies. - (20%)
  • Build marketing plans and optimize program performance to meet campaign KPIs and annual goals. Identify and analyze information gap and evaluate new technologies/data to optimize B2B lead scoring, ABM and vertical-based program - (20%)
  • Acts as first line of defense, overseeing adherence to bank compliance standards related to capabilities and clients’ omni-channel marketing materials. Supports Marketing Manager or below with escalated issues and/or remediation. - (10%)
  • May provide support to direct stakeholders (Sales, Account Managers, etc) on account and vertical-based selling tactics, including developing target account lists and programs to accelerate pipeline, strategic account and lead acquisition. Develop and maintain comprehensive account profiles and target personas and define the target audience required to achieve ABM and industry goals. - (10%)
  • Evaluate/report on campaign performance, influencing strategic decisions. Establish measurement requirements and develop dashboards for ongoing reporting. Partner with Head of Marketing to manage Bread Pay’s editorial calendar for Merchant Success & Partnership. Coordinate with the Brand & Creative team to ensure campaigns align with brand strategy, visual identity, messaging, voice, and tone. - (5%)
  • Provides coaching to Marketing Manager and associates, creating mentoring opportunities for learning and development. Conducts regular touch bases to cascade information and develop plans based on goals and performance. Guides behavior by demonstrating leadership. Trains peers and direct reports, establishing themselves as a departmental knowledge resource. - (5%)


Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 10-13 years experience in Marketing Strategy, Marketing Segmentation, Credit/Payments, Managing Test and Control, Analyzing Marketing Campaign Data, Leading a Team, or related experience.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience in retail, e-commerce, or fintech.
  • 5 - 7 years Proficiency Marketing Automation software (HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot).
  • 5 - 7 years Proficiency in Salesforce CRM.

Work Environment

Salary Range (unless otherwise noted below):

$139,800.00 - $223,700.00

Full Salary Range for position:

California: $160,800.00 - $279,600.00 Colorado: $139,800.00 - $246,100.00 New York: $153,800.00 - $279,600.00 Washington: $153,800.00 - $257,300.00 Maryland: $153,800.00 - $246,100.00 Washington DC: $160,800.00 - $257,300.00 Illinois: $139,800.00 - $246,100.00 New Jersey: $160,800.00 - $257,300.00 Vermont: $139,800.00 - $223,700.00 Ohio: $139,800.00 - $223,700.00 Maine: $139,800.00 - $223,700.00 Connecticut: $153,800.00 - $246,100.00 Virginia: $139,800.00 - $223,700.00

The actual base pay within this range may be dependent upon many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, work location, education, experience, and skills.


You must be work authorized in the United States on a full time basis without the need for any sponsorship now or in the future from any employer or organization. The Company cannot offer employment to F-1 (student) visa holders.

Bread Financial offers medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, and other voluntary benefits (including basic and optional life insurance, supplemental medical plans, and short and long-term disability) to eligible associates (regular full-time associates scheduled to work 30 hours per week or more) and their spouses/domestic partners, and child(ren) under the age of 26.  New associate elected coverage begins on date of hire (with the exception of disability coverage which has a 6-month waiting period).  Six weeks of 100% paid parental leave for eligible parents is available after a 180-day waiting period.   Hired associates can immediately enroll in Bread Financial’s 401(k) plan.

All associates receive 11 paid holidays. Associates have discretion in managing their time away from work through the Flexible Time Off (FTO) program and may need to notify and receive approval from their manager prior to taking the time off. Associates (except those located in Illinois) receive 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time (“PSST”) upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois associates receive 40 hours of Illinois PSST upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year and 40 hours of Illinois Paid Leave upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois Paid Leave must be used before associates in Illinois will be approved to take FTO.

Hired associates will be able to elect the purchase company stock during offering periods in June and December. You will be eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance.
