Principal Associate, Capital Resilience Analytics - CRA Operations Management

The Capital Resilience Analytics (CRA) team supports Capital One’s annual submission for the FRB’s Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR).  The Principal Associate will work on a cross-functional program team supporting the Operations Management function within CRA.  The scope of this role focuses on high-touch project and documentation management.

This role requires exceptional communication and leadership abilities to work with other financial analysts and project managers with a wide variety of backgrounds, skill sets, and levels within the company. The Principal Associate should demonstrate innovation, adaptability, comfort utilizing corporate AI platforms for workflow automation, strong conceptual thinking, and management abilities as they support broader capital planning efforts and interact with a wide range of stakeholders across Capital One.

Core Responsibilities:

Policy and Submission Documentation Management

  • Manage the creation, review, and publication of the Capital Plan Narrative (CPN) and Supporting Documentation (SD) chapters for our annual Stress Test submission

  • Drive documentation strategy proposals, analyze and refine chapter content, and ensure consistency across CCAR documentation

  • Lead periodic renewal, governance, and updates for various Stress Testing Policies and Procedures

  • Support Regulatory reviews by facilitating and tracking regulatory requests, compiling and refining our responses, and ensuring on-time and accurate submission to the appropriate agencies

CCAR Governance & Project Leadership

  • Develop, coordinate, and drive CCAR-wide enhancement agendas and project tracking across functional teams

  • Manage our Workiva Workspace, including controlling user access and training new chapter owners and administrators on timelines, Workiva usage, and documentation standards

  • Continuously evaluate and enhance our processes to streamline our work and contribute to department-wide automation agendas

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • At least 3 years of experience in Project Management, Financial Services, Regulatory Reporting, Risk Management, or a combination

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in project or risk management

  • 5+ years of experience in the banking industry or an equivalent financial services firm

  • 5+ years of experience working with complex documentation or regulatory reports

  • 4+ years of experience in bank stress testing, interest rate risk, or liquidity risk management practices or regulations

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
