A behavioral health organization providing residential care for adolescents is seeking a Primary Therapist to provide individual, family, and group therapy services for clients with mental health and substance use disorders. This position requires a strong clinical foundation, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements:- Master's degree or higher in a related field
- Active California registration or licensure
- Experience working with mental health and substance use disorder populations
- Experience providing individual, family, and group therapy
Responsibilities:- Manage a caseload of approximately 6 clients
- Provide individual and family therapy sessions
- Facilitate 3-5 clinical groups per week
- Complete comprehensive assessments, treatment plans, and safety plans
- Maintain regular communication with families, including contact within 48 hours of admission and weekly updates
- Complete clinical documentation within 24 hours of service delivery
- Participate in supervision, treatment team meetings, and utilization review
- Participate in on-call rotation for new admissions and crisis response
Compensation: $76,000 - $100,000 yearly based on experience.
Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday or Wednesday - Sunday. Minimum 40 hours per week on-site and on-call rotation required.
Job Hours: 10:00AM-6:00PM OR 11:00AM-7:00PM (Candidate's choice)
