Position Overview

Calian is excited to announce an opportunity for a Primary Care Physician to join our dedicated clinical team at CFB Petawawa. Your contributions will be essential in providing top-tier primary care, managing occupational health needs, addressing minor traumas, promoting health and wellness, and preventing diseases and injuries. You'll also be involved in rehabilitation and support services, ensuring that those who serve our nation are at their best-both in health and in readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Comprehensive primary medical care to patients with acute and chronic health conditions including referral to other health care providers when warranted.
  • Deliver occupational health services such as, but not limited to:
  • Referral of patients for participation in programs for the use of indicated personal protective devices - hearing conservation, respiratory protection program.
  • Communicate with Senior Medical Authority on relevant clinical matters such as CF Spectrum of Care, complex patients requiring multi- disciplinary intervention, individual operational readiness.
  • Maintain patient medical information in Electronic Health Record and patient health records.

Qualifications

  • Licensed and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
  • Certification in Family Medicine with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP)
  • Basic Life Support for Health Providers or CPR/AED Level C

Additional Requirements

  • You will be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level
