Job Description

Summary

As a Pricing and Business Analyst supporting Sav-Rx, you will be responsible for driving business growth through RFP re-pricing and financial modeling for prospective and existing clients. You translate complex prescription claims into actionable insights, identify cost-saving opportunities through trend analysis, and perform various ad-hoc analysis critical to the success of the company. Your role is essential in proving the fiscal value of the Sav-Rx PBM model to employers, unions, and other commercial clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Re-price prospective client claims data against Sav-Rx's pricing engines to demonstrate potential savings.
  • Create, maintain, and automate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as drug spend, adherence rates, formulary compliance, and rebate performance. Utilize tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Excel to present data in clear, visually compelling formats for internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Collaborate with sales and account teams to prepare data-driven responses for RFPs. Gather and analyze competitive intelligence, benchmark data, and client-specific metrics to support proposal development and ensure proposals are accurate, competitive, and compliant.
  • Respond to requests for custom analyses, including trend identification, scenario modeling, and impact assessments. Examples may include evaluating the effects of drug pricing changes, regulatory updates, or market shifts on client portfolios.
  • Extract, clean, and validate large datasets from internal systems (e.g., claims databases, CRM tools) and external sources. Ensure data integrity, compliance with HIPAA and other regulations, and alignment with PBM best practices.
  • Work closely with sales, account management, finance, clinical, and operations teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and data-driven decision-making.
  • Stay updated on PBM industry trends, tools, and methodologies to enhance analytical capabilities and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Education and/or Experience

BS/BA and 5+ years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, and 2 years' of SME in respective areas

Previous Pharmacy Benefit Management, healthcare, or managed care experience highly preferred.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and SQL. Good working knowledge of MS Word/Outlook, BI tools, as well as relational databases.

Work Location

This position works on-site at the San Diego Headquarters or other company location (or from a remote location with management approval based on business requirements). Working Hours

This is an exempt level position requiring the incumbent to work the hours required to fully accomplish job responsibilities and reasonably meet deadlines for work deliverables. The individual must have the flexibility to work beyond traditional hours and be able to work nights, at weekends or on holidays as required. Work hours may be changed from time to time to meet the needs of the business. Typical core business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Travel

This position requires no travel however attendance may be required at various local conferences and meetings.
