Full Job Description
Foremost is looking for an experienced Pressure Vessel Engineer to be part of our Agriculture and Energy Design Team located at our facility in Lloydminster, Alberta. Are you an experienced engineer with a background in mechanical, materials, or metallurgical engineering? Foremost is a great place to put your skills to work and be able to experience seeing all your work come to life. We have a highly proficient and talented technical team and are looking to add the right individual to help us strengthen and grow.This is an on-site position based at Foremost's Lloydminster, Alberta manufacturing facility. The role works closely with Engineering, Quality, and Operations and required regular direct involvement with shop fabrication activities. Remote or hybrid arrangements are not available for this position.

Design industrial equipment using a variety of tools including Autodesk Inventor, Nastran, Compress, and other industry specific software.

Complete mechanical design of pressure vessels, tanks, piping, and steel structures.

Provide technical guidance to our Proposal, Supply Chain, Quality, and Operations staff.Ensure quality and technical integrity of project deliverables.

Assist Operations with project plans to improve manufacturability of designs, and to resolve fabrication, procurement, and shipping issues, as necessary.

Facilitate regular updates of design status to the project stakeholders.

Interface with clients for clarification and approvals as needed.

Identify key parameters, specifications, codes, and critical issues that may impact projects.

BSc. in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university program

Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) in Canada is required.

8+ years of engineering experience in the oil and gas, mining, or agricultural equipment manufacturing industry

8+ years of ASME specific experience in piping and/or pressure vessels

Practical knowledge of welding metallurgy, material selection, heat treatment, and fabrication issues associated with carbon, low-alloy, and stainless steels.

Experience interpreting ASME Section VIII and application pressure equipment/piping codes in a fabrication environment.

Working knowledge of ASME Section IX welding procedure and personnel qualification requirements, including WPS/PQR review and application

Demonstrated technical competence in heavy fabrication engineering, including, but not limited to, field storage tanks, pressure vessel design, and oil & gas production equipment.

Working knowledge of Canadian Engineering standards

Working knowledge of codes for Foremost' s geographical area in Western Canada.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
