Full Job Description
The Diocese of La Crosse is seeking a President to lead the Columbus Catholic School System (CCS) in Marshfield, WI. Serving more than 600 students from 3-year-old preschool through 12 th grade, CCS forms young people spiritually, morally, intellectually, and physically in a Christ-centered environment rooted in the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.

The President serves as the chief executive officer of the Columbus Catholic School System, providing missionfocused leadership that advances the spiritual, academic, and institutional vitality of the schools. This executive role oversees all operational, advancement, financial, and enrollment initiatives, fostering a culture of faith-filled excellence.

Reporting to the Superintendent of Catholic Schools and operating under the general direction of the Bishop of the Diocese of La Crosse, the President also collaborates closely with the Dean and Pastors of the Marshfield Deanery to strengthen parish school relationships and support the shared mission of Catholic education.

The President provides strategic, visionary leadership that ensures the longterm health and growth of CCS. Working in close partnership with the principals, administrative team, faculty, and staff, the President promotes a vibrant commitment to Catholic identity, strong stewardship and financial viability, and deep engagement with the Marshfield community.

Key Responsibilities include:

Mission-based Leadership: Serves as a practicing Catholic who joyfully embraces, models, and advances the mission of Catholic education.

Ambassador: Acts as the chief ambassador of CCS, strengthening relationships with students, families, alumni, parish communities, benefactors, and the broader Marshfield area. Promotes strategic vision, inspiring collaboration, and a shared sense of mission across all stakeholders.

Institutional Advancement: Directs advancement, development, and fundraising efforts to support institutional growth and sustainability.

Enrollment Management: Guide enrollment strategy, marketing, and retention initiatives to ensure growth and accessibility.

Financial Stewardship: Oversees budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation to ensure longterm stability aligned with the mission and strategic goals of a Catholic School environment.

Academic and Operational Oversight: Champions academic excellence, faith formation, and cocurricular innovation in partnership with the principals and school leadership. Provides executive leadership for operations, facilities, human resources, and

systemwide initiatives.

Qualifications:

A practicing Catholic in good standing who demonstrates a deep commitment to Catholic education and the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.

Proven leadership experience in education, nonprofit management, advancement, or related field.

Strong strategic planning, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Master's degree, doctorate, or advanced theological/catechetical formation preferred.
