LSI is seeking an experienced leader to serve as the agency's President & CEO. The President will serve as an example of servant leadership and will provide direction to the organization, while ensuring an ongoing commitment to the agency's mission and its continued viability in the context of a changing and challenging human services environment. What You'll Do • Provide direct supervision and visionary leadership to the LSI executive staff team • Be responsible for the stewardship of human and financial resources, including development, implementation, and maintenance of agency budget goals • Develop and assess the annual strategic plan for LSI on an ongoing basis • Promote continuous quality improvement and service delivery that is aligned with LSI's mission, vision and values • Understand and effectively operationalize the tenets of the LSI Board policy manual • Maintain regular and ongoing communication to build strong relationships with the LSI Board of Directors and LSI Charitable Foundation, providing leadership and support to members at all times • Ensure LSI is regularly and positively represented to the public • Oversee designated contracts and agreements, including monitoring for compliance with terms, performance measures, progress reporting, and financial performance • Understand and promote the agency's advocacy plan • Actively participate in donor relations and the organization's fundraising activities. • Strengthen the agency's relationship with the Iowa Synods of the ELCA congregations and pastors enhancing opportunities to support shared values • Through both personal example and servant leadership, demonstrate an unwavering commitment to the mission and values of LSI What You'll Need • Must have a completed Master's degree in Social Work or other qualifying human service-related field • Must have a minimum of ten years of full-time, progressive management experience in a multi-site, multi-service human service organization, with five years minimum executive leader experience How We'll Support You In addition to joining our team, you'll be eligible for: • A competitive salary • Medical, vision and dental insurance • 401(3b) with employer match • Agency vehicle or mileage reimbursement for travel • Paid time off Other Requirements: • Maintains a valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle • Must meet and maintain agency insurance coverage requirements • Must submit, prior to hire, to various background checks to verify there are no convictions of crimes, founded child abuse and elder abuse reports, or unacceptable driving records • This position requires occasional stair climbing, pushing and pulling, bending/stooping, crouching, and kneeling This position requires a valid driver's license, auto insurance, a good driving record and the ability to pass an extensive background check including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, Sex Offender registry and a criminal history check.
