Job Summary

The Prefabrication Site Manager is involved in the strategy, process, coordination, and installation of projects with Prefabrication. This person has a basic knowledge of Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) computer applications and 3D design. They also have experience with electrical installation and installation of prefabrication. The Prefabrication Site Manager maintains contact with the VDC Coordinator, prefabrication Shop Leaders, and field Project Management Team, ensuring the project is meticulously coordinated and executed with proficiency. Travel to multiple locations across Miller Electric's footprint will be required. #miller #LI-JJ1

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Keeps Miller internal (VDC & Fabrication external) parties involved throughout the project for full buy-in and optimized design.
  • Coordinate the delivery and installation of fabricated products to ensure they are installed both on schedule and correctly.
  • Provides project specific input for installation constructability to:
  • Planners
  • Modelers
  • Detailers
  • Fabrication team
  • Ensure all company, client, and project policies/procedures are followed as specified.
  • Oversee the project through administrative direction of on-site supervision to ensure the project is built following design, budget, and schedule.
  • Actively interface with the customer to validate expectations are understood and met before, during, and after project completion.
  • Plan, coordinate, and/or manage activities of the fabrication installation team.
  • Offering innovative solutions developing methods of procedures in sequence of operations.
  • Provide consistent feedback and reports to the business unit President/Vice President/or Director.
  • Provide advice, guidance, mentoring, and direction to team and other junior personnel toward the achievement of their personal development goals.
  • Responsible for continuously expanding and updating professional knowledge and honing skills and competencies to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity.
  • Proactively be a leader for job site safety and adherence to company policies and national safety standards for personnel under his or her supervision.
  • Delegate field requests as necessary.
  • Facilitate relationship between Miller field teams and VDC, Fabrication teams.
  • Coordinate closely with the Field Solutions team for deployment of Total Stations, Scanners, and OpenSpace tools and layout needs.
  • Attend VDC Kickoff Meetings, Weekly VDC Meetings, GC Coordination Meetings, Fabrication Production Meetings

Qualifications
