We are looking for an experienced Preconstruction Manager to work in a team environment to establish construction pricing and prepare estimates for new Multi-family and Single Family for Rent projects throughout the Southeast. This will be completed by collecting and analyzing data based on current sub-contractor pricing, labor, and material costs. The Construction estimator will work directly for the Director of Preconstruction and is responsible for the following: Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Acquire understanding of the requirements of the project/program at hand • Provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects • Select metrics to produce valid estimates • Visit sites, vendors, and other venues to gather essential information • Review documents or consult experts to collect all necessary data • Analyze data and produce forecasts • Perform risk analysis • Prepare detailed reports or bids for submission to appropriate parties • Select advantageous deals by evaluating offers and quotes • Foster and maintain relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, architects etc.) • Perform related work, as apparent or assigned. Requirements Knowledge and Experience: • Minimum of 5-10 years' experience • Bachelor's Degree preferred in construction Related Field • Multifamily residential construction experience preferred • Proven ability to generate results in a fast-paced environment • Previous exposure to successful project completion, within specs, time allotment and budget.
