JOB TITLE: Precon Project Manager

DEPARTMENT: Precon

REPORTS TO: Precon/Technical Director

SUMMARY: Assist in the development of a high performing innovative Precon Design/Delivery Pre-construction team. Works with Client Relations, Workplace Strategy, FF&E, Design, and Project Delivery to ensure projects meet their Sales, Revenue and GP targets

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Developing and managing key client relationships
  • Leading the integration of disciplines (strategy, client relations, business development, marketing & communications, design, project delivery) to enable the effective delivery of our Studio Eagle methodology
  • Driving project delivery best practices, coordinate processes and technology to achieve culture of excellence for assigned projects
  • Pre-contract pricing including all necessary quotes to ensure accuracy in bidding and maintaining GP
  • Ensuring alignment to culture, values and behaviors of Studio Eagle
  • Sharing project success stories and lessons learnt within studio
  • Effectively maintaining regular two-way communication with the team
  • Contributing to the creation of a high performing, innovative team environment
  • Contributing to studio culture of Precon design excellence
  • Contributing to the Precon team meetings and knowledge sharing
  • Helping drive studio initiatives to improve Precon design and business operations
  • Supporting management to conduct Precon design reviews at key project milestones
  • Continually enhancing depth and breadth of Precon design skills, staying current with external market
  • Managing project resources effectively
  • Mentoring and guiding designers / other team members
  • Leading in-house knowledge sharing initiatives including studio talks
  • Participating in recruitment / onboarding
  • Identifying and escalating risks to Design Director and Managing Director, where relevant, whilst operating in compliance with ethical practices
  • Project documentation including quality control of documentation
  • Setting and maintaining client timelines
  • Developing and overseeing accurate quantity take-offs for client budgeting
  • Overseeing and maintaining progressive budgeting for clients
  • Maintaining constant financial communication with them as the design proceeds
  • Overseeing sub-trade bidding and ensuring sufficient number of trade quotes are received
  • Project/program/schedule/cost management including agenda/minutes with weekly issuances
  • Preparing final construction contracts and reviewing in detail with Client
  • Responsible to hand off an accurate and complete tender summary at or above GP budget as set with management for order processing, but staying financially responsible through the whole project.
  • Overseeing costings for change orders to ensure project profitability
  • Keeping in touch with clients and team members after hand-off to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintaining a very clear understanding and review of the progressive design and documents to confirm everything included in the contract documents is included in our budget to the client so there are no misinterpretations.
  • Implementing Delivery best standards/practices, processes and technology solutions within the studio to enhance the capability and effectiveness of the organization
  • Fostering a culture of Corporate Social Responsibility
