Job DescriptionThis role is responsible for managing and developing a team while overseeing departmental operations, improving performance, and ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant settlement reductions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily department operations, workflow, and productivity to ensure timely case resolution.
- Review and assist with complex hospital, medical provider, and lien negotiations.
- Monitor departmental performance, quality, and turnaround times while implementing process improvements.
- Collaborate with attorneys and firm leadership to resolve escalated matters and improve operational performance.
- Review settlement documentation for accuracy and ensure compliance with firm policies, attorney direction, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- Recruit, train, and conduct performance evaluations for team members.
Qualifications- Minimum 5 years of recent experience handling medical lien reductions, hospital negotiations, and settlement support within a Plaintiff Personal Injury law firm.
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading or managing a team of legal professionals in a Plaintiff Personal Injury law firm.
- Demonstrated success managing departmental performance through productivity, quality, or turnaround time metrics in a high-volume environment.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Experience using Litify (Salesforce) or a comparable legal case management system.
