Full Job Description
Barbaricum is seeking an Data Scientist III to directly support the anticipated Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division, Model Based Engineering Assessment Division (Code MXM). Code MXM's mission is mission engineering analysis and assessment of complex Naval, DoD, and joint kill chains - with a specialized focus on Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) enabled analysis. As a Data Scientist III, you will apply data science, statistics, and machine learning to Code MXM's EMSO mission engineering - supporting statistical and analytical investigations, data mining, and advanced analytics against large datasets. You will build and maintain the data pipelines and systems that turn EM spectrum data into decision-quality insight. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 3 Support software integration or testing, including analyzing and implementing test plans and scripts. 3 Apply scripting languages such as Python and R, using packages commonly used in data science and advanced analytics. 3 Apply data science, data mining, statistics, or graph algorithms to support analytics objectives. 3 Apply SQL, NoSQL, API building, ETL pipelines, web application servers, or search index. 3 Use tools such as Python, Jupyter Notebook, Pandas, Numpy, and Requests. 3 Apply complex mathematical and statistical concepts and operations research methods and tools. 3 Employ spreadsheets for data manipulation and visualization. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 3 Active DoD SECRET clearance (minimum); U.S. citizenship required. 3 Master's degree. 3 10 or more years of professional experience with data science. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS 3 Relevant industry certification such as CompTIA Cloud Essentials, Microsoft Technical Associate (MTA), Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK), CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+, EMC Data Science Associate (EMCDSA), Cloudera Certified Data Scientist (CCDH), Certified Apache Hadoop Developer (HCAHD), CISSP, Cloudera Certified Professional (CCP), MCPD, MCSD, MCSE / Private Cloud, or Cloudera Certified Administrator for Apache Hadoop (CCAH).
