The Practice Manager serves as the operational hub of the organization, ensuring seamless coordination between providers, facility partners, billing, credentialing, recruiting, marketing, and vendors. This individual plays a vital role in supporting clinical excellence, driving operational efficiency, and facilitating continued growth across multiple markets.

Position SummaryThe Practice Manager is responsible for overseeing the operational, administrative, financial, and compliance functions of a multi-provider wound care practice. Working closely with executive leadership, physicians, advanced practice providers, and facility partners, this role ensures efficient workflows, provider support, timely reimbursement, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service.
This position requires strong healthcare operations experience, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while supporting a rapidly growing organization.
Key ResponsibilitiesPractice Operations- Oversee the day-to-day operationsof the wound care practice across multiple territories.
- Develop and implement operationalprocesses that improve efficiency, quality, and scalability.
- Monitor provider schedules andcoordinate coverage to ensure uninterrupted patient care.
- Serve as the primary operationalliaison between providers and skilled nursing facility partners.
- Identify operational issues andimplement timely, effective solutions.
Revenue Cycle Management- Coordinate with billing andcoding teams to ensure timely claim submission and reimbursement.
- Monitor claim aging, denials, andbilling backlogs while collaborating on corrective action plans.
- Support documentation qualityinitiatives to improve coding accuracy and reimbursement.
- Track key revenue cycle metricsand operational performance indicators.
Provider Operations- Support recruitment, onboarding,and integration of physicians and advanced practice providers.
- Coordinate orientation, EMRaccess, equipment, and operational readiness for new providers.
- Maintain provider schedules,coverage plans, and territory assignments.
- Serve as an ongoing operationalresource for providers.
Credentialing & Compliance- Coordinate payer enrollment,including Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance plans, PECOS, and CAQH.
- Track provider licenses, DEAregistrations, malpractice insurance, collaborative agreements, andcredential expiration dates.
- Maintain compliance with companypolicies and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Assist with audits, accreditationactivities, and compliance initiatives.
Facility Relations- Build and maintain strongrelationships with skilled nursing facilities and post-acute partners.
- Coordinate facility onboardingand implementation of new wound care programs.
- Address operational concerns andfacilitate communication between facilities and providers.
- Support high levels of clientsatisfaction through responsive service and proactive problem-solving.
Vendor & Supply Management- Manage relationships with woundcare supply vendors and service providers.
- Coordinate ordering, inventory,shipping, and distribution of clinical supplies.
- Negotiate pricing and monitorvendor performance to optimize costs and service levels.
Business Growth & Marketing Support- Support marketing initiatives andnew facility implementations.
- Coordinate operational readinessfor territory expansion.
- Collaborate with businessdevelopment teams to ensure successful client onboarding.
- Assist leadership with strategicgrowth initiatives and special projects.
Reporting & Performance- Monitor operational KPIs andprepare reports for executive leadership.
- Analyze operational trends andrecommend process improvements.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting,and operational planning.
- Support continuous qualityimprovement initiatives across the organization.
RequirementsQualificationsRequired- Bachelor's degree in HealthcareAdministration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field (orequivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of healthcarepractice management or healthcare operations experience.
- Experience working with physicianpractices, skilled nursing facilities, home health, hospice, or post-acutecare organizations.
- Knowledge of medical billing,coding, credentialing, and healthcare reimbursement.
- Strong understanding of Medicareand commercial payer processes.
- Excellent organizational,communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multipleprojects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft OfficeSuite and healthcare software systems.
- Ability to work onsite in a professional office environment.
Preferred- Experience managing multi-site ormulti-provider medical practices.
- Familiarity with wound careservices and post-acute care operations.
- Experience with EMR platforms,credentialing systems, and revenue cycle management.
