Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a Power Infrastructure Engineer, for the Power Infrastructure Team in North Reading, MA for platform product development initiatives for our next generation Semiconductor Testers. In the Power Infrastructure Team, we focus on developing state-of-the-art industry leading Semiconductor Test Equipment. This individual will work on the following:

  • Tester Power Subassembly Design and Development
  • System Level Design
  • Support System Level Product Safety and EMC Testing
  • Power Architecture Strategy and Roadmap
  • Manufacturing support
  • Continuous Engineering support
  • Sustainability and Power Reduction Initiatives

Develop industry-leading Platform products based on sound engineering principles that:
  • Include scalable electro-mechanical architectures
  • Provide signal delivery solutions for precision electro-mechanical mass termination docking systems
  • Consider end-user constraints, cost, and time to market
  • Deliver solutions for the latest generation of advanced semiconductor testing


Long-term expectations for this position include:
  • Participates and influences the development of long-term technical capability roadmaps to support market changes over time
  • Contributes to initiatives throughout the company as a subject matter expert for customer platform considerations, challenges, and solutions
  • Routinely creates innovative ideas, intellectual property, technical publications, or presentations.

  • Requires a minimum of 6 years of related experience with a Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering degree, 4 years with a Master of Science Electrical Engineering Degree.
  • Basic schematic design and understanding skills (Cadence, SolidWorks Electrical preferred)
  • Single-phase and 3-phase medium power (208V/480V) design skills
  • Familiarity with product safety and EMC standards associated with laboratory testing (IEC)
  • Working and coordinating with 3rd party safety agencies
  • Using advanced spreadsheet functions and techniques for data analysis
  • Create/understand wire tables and Bill of Materials (BOMs)
  • Working knowledge of using Product Lifecycle Management tools (Teamcenter preferred)
  • Experience with PCB design (preferred, not required)
  • Being able to work closely with mechanical design engineering and New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Exhibit critical thinking and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of SEMI standards and the ability to apply complex groupings of standards into designs is a plus.
  • Be willing to travel domestically or internationally 10%


Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $111,300 - $178,200 This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
