Full Job Description
Electrical Engineering position tasked with ensuring the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into executable solutions. This may include requirements and concept of operations development, system integration, verification and validation, and system transition.
We are seeking candidates to work as part of a mutli-discipline System Engineering team responsible for the design, distribution and reliability of Low and Medium Voltage Power Distribution Systems at multiple production test facilities within the Moorestown, NJ campus. Candidate shall have knowledge of PLC based systems, Power Quality Monitoring Systems, and Instrumentation and Control Systems.
Design and Documentation
• Prepare technical documents including major equipment specifications, scope of work documents, power system calculations and electrical design documents.
• Develop design documents including single line diagrams, physical arrangement drawings, grounding, power plans and wiring diagrams.
• Generate system and circuit schematics to support engineering requirements.
Systems Integration and Operations
• Work with other subsystems engineers to establish electrical loads and wiring/cabling requirements for various subsystem components.
• Collaborate with Operations during build up to aid in troubleshooting systems.
• Support failure investigation processes and the resolution of discrepancies.
• Incorporate subsystem hardware into a Land Based Test Site or System Integration Lab (SIL) and troubleshoot integration issues.
Power Systems Management
• Design, troubleshoot, commission, and control building electrical and emergency power generation systems.
• Manage and participate in a teaming environment of repair personnel consisting of military, DoD civilians, and/or contracted personnel.
• Support proposal development and identify new business opportunities.

You are a technically proficient engineer with a background in power system modeling and the design of low and medium voltage distribution systems. You possess the professional diplomacy to work with multidisciplinary teams and the analytical skill to translate complex requirements into reliable electrical solutions.
A level 2 employee is an early career professional who typically has 1 to 2+ years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering (or similar degree) with demonstrated experience designing low and medium voltage power distribution systems (transformers, switchgear, motor control centers, UPS, AC/DC circuits).
• Power system analysis proficiency - hands on use of industry tools such as ETAP, SKM Power Tools, or equivalent to perform load flow, voltage drop, short circuit, and arc flash calculations.
• Technical drawing expertise - ability to read, create, and interpret single line diagrams, wiring schematics, and NEC compliant electrical blueprints; proficient in AutoCAD (or similar CAD platform).
• Code & safety knowledge - solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 70E, and related safety standards; capable of applying these requirements to design and documentation.
• This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Desired skills
• 1 to 2+ years of professional engineering experience in power system modeling, design, and validation for aerospace or defense test facility environments.
• Systems integration & troubleshooting expertise - proven ability to integrate subsystem hardware, generate schematics, and resolve discrepancies during build up and failure investigations.
• Leadership in collaborative repair/maintenance teams - experience coordinating military, DoD civilian, and contractor personnel in high availability power generation or emergency power projects.
• Familiarity with additional standards & testing bodies - working knowledge of NETA testing practices and strong command of NEC/NFPA requirements.
• Effective communication & project tools - skilled in preparing technical documentation, material take offs, and cost estimates; proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
The base range for this position in New Jersey is $91,000 - $181,113.
