Responsibilities

  • Manage development efforts using configuration tools like GitHub and Azure CI/CD.
  • Understand and implement the system development lifecycle (SDLC) and software engineering practices.
  • Create and modify PowerBuilder objects (windows, structures, functions).
  • Develop Sybase procedures/packages and enforce business rules through triggers.
  • Create new GUI pages to meet business requirements and enhance existing interfaces for better user experience.
  • Tune and monitor MSSQL/Sybase server performance.

Power Builder
• Experience and managing development efforts using a configuration management tool, such as GitHub, Azure CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of Systems life cycle (SDLC), relational databases and software engineering discipline
• Proficient in object-oriented programming using latest version of PowerBuilder connecting to Sybase/ SQL Server environment.
• Experience in creation and modified/update new PB objects (windows, structures, functions, user objects using SQL).
• Experience in creating Sybase procedures/packages and other database objects.
• Experience in Implementing triggers to enforce business rules.
• Experience in developing new GUI pages for business needs.
• Experience in tune and monitor, MSSQL/ Sybase Server performance.
• Experience in enhancing existing GUI to become more user friendly.
Required Skills:
• Proficiency in Object Oriented programming PowerBuilder 12.2 or greater (8 years)
• Experience in analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of large automated systems (8 years)
• Experience in MSSQL Server (5 years)
• Experience in Sybase (6 years)
