JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Opportunity

This position works out of our Minnetonka MN location within the Global Market Intelligence Center of Excellence (COE). As a Power BI Developer, you will design, build, and maintain the enterprise reporting and analytics solutions that power executive-level market and competitive intelligence across our business units and international regions. You'll combine strong technical development skills with a sharp eye for data quality, governance, and clear, executive-ready visualization.

What You'll Work On

  • Develop and maintain interactive Power BI reports and dashboards, including executive-facing deliverables and recurring market analysis reporting.


  • Build and optimize semantic models in Microsoft Fabric.


  • Implement data security, including Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS), to control access across regions and user groups.


  • Design and maintain data pipelines using Fabric Dataflows, Lakehouse, and related tools to ingest, transform, and validate data from multiple internal and third-party sources.


  • Partner with analysts and regional teams to translate business requirements into scalable, reusable reporting solutions.


  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity through validation processes, restatement handling, and coordination with data providers.


  • Manage the reporting documentation of models and data sources.


  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across Power BI, Fabric, and connected data sources.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.


  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on Power BI development experience building production-grade reports and dashboards.


  • Strong proficiency in DAX and Power Query.


  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric components (semantic models, Lakehouse, Dataflows).


  • Proficiency in Python or R scripting for data manipulation, automation, or advanced analytics.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling principles (star schema, relationships, aggregations).


  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction and transformation.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in market intelligence, competitive intelligence, or a data-heavy analytical function.


  • Familiarity with the medical device or broader healthcare industry.


  • Experience integrating third-party or syndicated data sources.


  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present data clearly to executive stakeholders.

$78,000.00 - $156,000.00
