The OpportunityThe University of Central Florida's (UCF) department of Industrial Engineering and Management Systems (IEMS) invites applications for two Postdoctoral Scholars to support the research program of the National Commercialization and Translation Institute (NCTI), a $20 million national pilot funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF). The Postdoctoral Scholars will play a central role in implementing the NCTI research program. Responsibilities will include instrumenting and maintaining the national registry; leading baseline and longitudinal data collection under the registered research protocol; conducting case-based, qualitative comparative analysis (QCA), and LLM-assisted qualitative analyses; and leading the development of peer-reviewed manuscripts, public-use datasets, and a transferable intervention playbook. The Scholars will work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI), Co-Principal Investigators (Co-PIs), and the independent external evaluator, RTI International.
Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. from an accredited institution in a relevant field, such as innovation and entrepreneurship, economics, management and organization science, science and technology policy, public policy, computational social science, or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications: Researchers in innovation and entrepreneurship, economics of innovation, science and technology policy, management and organization science, computational social science, or AI-assisted research methods who want to produce publishable, policy-relevant evidence from a live national experiment. Strong qualitative, configurational, or computational methods skills are especially welcome.
