Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate in Department of Cell Biology and Molecular Medicine within the New Jersey Medical School (NJMS).

Under the direction of the principal investigator, the Post Doctoral Associate conducts highly specialized and technical research involving animal models of cardiovascular disease.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Designs, executes, and analyzes in vitro and in vivo studies of cardiovascular disease.
  • Responsible for keeping detailed records of procedures and experiments in laboratory notebook. Compiles data,make necessary calculations, presents results at national conferences, and publish the results on high impactjournals.
  • Develops own research project(s) under the guidance of the PI.
  • Instructs and trains students, technicians and laboratory assistants as required.
  • Performs genetic matings to generate animal models of heart disease.
