We are currently looking for a
Portfolio Trading Specialist in office in our downtown
Salt Lake City, UT location. The ideal candidate will:
- Manages equity income portfolios for high net worth clients. Portfolios will be invested in a broad range of investment grade instruments under a variety of client mandates.
- Identifies relative value trading opportunities within the market and amongst issuers; executes buy and sell orders as required and/or directed by clients; monitors client portfolios; meets with clients and their relationship managers as needed to identify and recommend hedging and overlay strategies.
- Works closely with other portfolio managers and investment team members.
- The Sr Specialist may supervise less experienced specialists.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:- Requires a Bachelor's and 4+ years experience with equity income portfolios, investment products, or other directly related experience.
- Series 7 and 63, 65, or 66 preferred. A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
- Extensive knowledge of fixed income investment and of investment products, services and terminology.
- Excellent attention to detail, an exceptionally high degree of initiative and adaptability, and the ability to multi-task.
- The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- The ability to perform a wide variety of complex and confidential tasks with speed and accuracy.
- Strong analytical skills are needed in order to solve operational problems.
- Must be able to exercise independent judgment.
- Excellent communication (verbal and writing) skills.
- Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word and MS Outlook.
