Full Job Description
Analyst, Portfolio
The Analyst, Portfolio provides licensed investment and analytical support to Individual/Trust Account Portfolio Managers to help optimize the investment performance of client portfolios. This role conducts economic, market and industry analysis to inform wealth management decisions and align client investment objectives and risk profiles with portfolio decisions. The position involves direct client interaction through portfolio reporting, trading execution and verification for client accounts, and participation in client meetings. Under general supervision, this role exercises independent judgment in portfolio analysis, risk assessment, and investment recommendations presented to clients.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Prepares analytical reports on trust portfolio status for clients and management team to update and create alignment between the two parties and participates in client review meetings to present portfolio performance and investment strategies.
  • Assists Portfolio Managers in the execution and verification of stock, bond and mutual fund trading to optimize clients' investment portfolios, exercising judgment in trade execution within established parameters and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitors existing portfolio assets and reviews adherence to client's investment policy statement on a regular basis, engaging with clients as needed to discuss portfolio positioning, performance, and investment strategies.
  • Contributes observations and insights to help form recommendations for portfolio adjustments to obtain stable profit based on industry trends identified through market and risk analysis and presents investment recommendations to clients alongside Portfolio Managers.
  • Maintains an active role in monitoring operational matters, including portfolio rebalancing activities, and assisting with resolving client service issues as needed. Work in collaboration with TCSG gathering critical information from client for service resolution.
  • Initiates client service requests via Salesforce CRM. Acts as liaison between TCSG, client and Portfolio Management team
  • Updates wealth management databases, maintains client records and conducts ad-hoc research as requested by management team.
  • Conducts loss forecasting analysis for the internal portfolio to determine potential risk of individual portfolios and maintains up-to-date knowledge of capital markets and the investment management industry.

Additional Responsibilities
  • All licenses must be obtained within 120 days from start date.

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Strong relationship management skills with client facing experience

  • Self-directed, self-starter, and motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to perform at a high level, both independently and as a part of a team

Base Pay Range: $81,900/yr - $92,900/yr

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
