Requirements
Nurse Practitioner Duties
• Occupational health treatment
• Diagnoses and treats acute and episodic illnesses
• Prescribes all necessary medications and treatments
• Performs comprehensive physical examinations of patients
• Develops and implement patient management policies and procedures
• Facilitates referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
• Communicates with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
• Supports coordination of beryllium cases by facilitating education and coordinating medical monitoring appointments with offsite beryllium facilities
• Interviews workers and managers, visits to worksites and facilities, and reviews employee job task analysis documents.
• Supports the team with the delivery of timely reports and information
• Manages the emergency preparedness program
• Participates in meetings with PNNL management
Nurse Practitioner Qualifications:
• Previous experience in Occupational Medicine, Family Practice, Urgent Care or ER (preferred)
• Previous administrative experience preffered.
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Team oriented
• WA Nurse Practitioner License (Required)
• BLS/ ACLS Certification (Required)
