Responsibilities

Peraton is hiring for a Project Management Office Manager/ PMO. This position is a full-time role with overall accountability for governmental experience, including customer engagements and implementations, solution design, service evolution design, and project management. The PMO Director will provide contract-wide leadership for project management, customer engagements, implementations, solution design governance, service evolution, contract deliverables, agency onboarding, and implementation oversight.

Must be located in the Austin, TX metropolitan area, or San Angelo, TX as applicable. Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Austin, TX metropolitan area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain overall accountability for project management, customer engagements, and implementations across the contract.
  • Provide governance for solution design and manage the Request for Solution (RFS) process.
  • Lead service evolution design and execution.
  • Manage contract deliverables across the full contract lifecycle.
  • Lead customer agency engagement activities.
  • Manage customer agency onboarding projects.
  • Provide implementation oversight and ensure successful transition into operational service.
  • Manage the Project Bench resource pool, providing flexible capacity for DIR-requested projects.
  • Coordinate project activities across multiple service towers and stakeholders.
  • Manage project schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and deliverables.
  • Ensure formal project deliverables meet applicable government contract requirements.
  • Coordinate project execution within the MSI/multi-vendor environment.
  • Serve as a direct interface with DIR and customer agencies on project-related matters.
  • Support solution development, service evolution initiatives, and implementation planning throughout the contract lifecycle.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • 10 years of experience, may have supervisory or lead experience
  • 8+ years of program and project management experience on government IT contracts.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple simultaneous large-scale IT implementation projects.
  • Strong experience with government IT program and project management.
  • Experience managing formal project deliverables and compliance requirements within government IT contracts.
  • Experience working within a multi-vendor/MSI environment.
  • Familiarity with ITIL service management processes.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow project management tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to interface directly with DIR, government stakeholders, and customer agencies.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, project governance, risk management, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives in a complex, enterprise-scale IT environment.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
  • Must be a US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Texas state government agency engagement experience
  • Experience supporting Texas state agencies or comparable state government organizations.
  • Experience with government customer onboarding and implementation programs.
  • Experience with solution design governance and formal Request for Solution (RFS) processes.
  • Experience managing service evolution and technology modernization initiatives.
  • Experience managing large-scale, multi-tower IT programs.
  • Experience with ServiceNow project and portfolio management capabilities.
  • Experience working within complex MSI/multi-vendor government IT environments.
  • Experience managing flexible project resources or project bench capacity.
  • ITIL v4 Foundation preferred


Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
