Southern Mechanical is seeking an experienced Plumbing Project Manager Multi-Family to join our team.

This role is responsible for planning, managing, and successfully delivering commercial and multi-family plumbing projects ranging from $500,000 to $10 million. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong financial acumen, exceptional organizational skills, and a proven ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining quality, safety, schedules, and budgets.

What You'll Do:
  • Manage all phases of commercial and multi-family plumbing construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, manpower plans, and production goals
  • Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, contracts, and plumbing system requirements
  • Prepare and analyze job cost reports, financial forecasts, work-in-progress (WIP) reports, and manpower projections
  • Negotiate contracts with general contractors and subcontractors
  • Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure project success
  • Review and process change orders, requests for information (RFIs), and project documentation
  • Collaborate with field leadership to ensure drawings, schedules, and project documentation remain current
  • Conduct periodic jobsite visits to monitor progress, quality, safety, and client satisfaction
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, engineers, inspectors, and municipal agencies


What You'll Bring:
  • Minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience in commercial or multi-family plumbing construction
  • Extensive knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and construction practices
  • Strong understanding of project budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, job costing, and cost control
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
  • Experience managing projects valued between $500,000 and $10 million
  • Proficiency with construction management software, including Procore, Sage, Spectrum, Raken, Microsoft Office, and Excel
  • Strong negotiation, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously

  • Combination of office and jobsite work
  • May require travel to project locations as needed
