General 8:30 am-5:00 pm

Responsibilities/ Accountabilities
  • Manage all phases of electrical and control equipment throughout the plant. This includes preventive, corrective, emergency, warranty service, etc.
  • Diagnose and solve electrical problems for manufacturing and packaging equipment and systems.
  • Install, service, calibrate, and update electrical systems.
  • Repair and/or replace faulty electrical parts in manufacturing and packaging equipment.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure that products or systems are in a safe and usable condition.
  • Troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLC)/industrial programmable controllers (IPC).
  • Assess building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules.
  • Develop maintenance procedures and schedules.
  • Ensure equipment maintenance and repair work are completed correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Plan and perform PMP for equipment and facilities.

Education Qualifications/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field of study from an accredited institution with a preferred minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience in an industrial / manufacturing setting.
  • Master's degree in electrical engineering or related field of study from an accredited institution with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience in an industrial / manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Experience working in pharmaceutical manufacturing preferred.

Skills/ Competencies
  • In-depth understanding of electronics, electrical systems, and mechanical engineering principles.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD and of computer operations in general.
  • Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers and Distributive Control Systems.
  • Ability to read electrical prints.
  • Ability to read P&IDs.
  • Ability to trouble shoot OMRON PLC hardware.
  • Ability to trouble shoot OMRON PLC logic utilizing OMRON software.
  • Ability to trouble shoot Allen Bradly PLC hardware.
  • Ability to trouble shoot Allen Bradley PLC logic utilizing Allen Bradley
  • Working knowledge of 480V and 4160V electrical switchgear, motors, and starters.
  • Experience working from complex drawings and data, manuals, handbooks.
  • Experience using a wide variety of measuring instruments and electronic analyzing and testing equipment.
  • Thorough knowledge of electronic components, digital and analog circuitry, hydraulic systems, and machine tool principles essential.
  • Knowledge of GMP and various regulatory requirements.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in industrial automation.
  • Ability to lead teams and facilitate the execution and completion of work.
  • Communicate effectively (verbal, written, presentation skills) in the English language.
  • Contribute and work collaboratively with geographically dispersed teams in HR and across other functional departments.
  • Apply practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.
  • Work independently with general supervision.
  • Influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.

Physical Requirements
  • Able to lift fifteen (15) pounds with or without assistance.

  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally as needed (less than 20%).
  • Able to be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hat, hair net, safety shoes, glasses, lab coat, and other required gear.
