Job DescriptionThe Platform Engineer will develop and maintain the common platform tools and services that enable the Client System's data management and analytics capabilities. The engineer will build and enhance the core services that application developers and data scientists use, ensuring the platform provides a robust and efficient environment for mission-critical tasks. This role will design and implement platform capabilities such as containerization, orchestration, and service meshes, create self-service tools for developers to increase productivity, and establish platform monitoring and observability solutions. The engineer will implement platform security controls and compliance mechanisms, optimize platform performance and resource utilization, and automate platform operations through continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. This person will evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance platform capabilities, develop platform documentation and training materials, and collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure seamless integration.
Must have:- A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- At least 8 years of experience developing and supporting platform services and tools in an enterprise setting
- Must meet DoD 8140 requirements
Security Clearance:- Active Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI, or TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required, depending on position
