Full Job Description
The Plant Manager position directs and manages all plant operations with overall responsibilities for production, maintenance, quality, and other production-related activities.

Key Tasks &Activities...
  • Responsibility and control over plant operations, including personnel, logistics, production, maintenance, and other commercial activities.
  • Serves as a member of the HACCP and Food Safety Team (if applicable)
  • Coordinate plant activities through planning with departmental managers to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Develop and control profits, plans, and budgets, as well as build and present cases to secure CAPEX expenditures for the coming year as well as measure KPIs, financial justification, and contract negotiations.
  • Implement cost-effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages, and salaries.
  • Develop a culture of continuous improvement across the business by encouraging participation from the teams.
  • Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
  • Control and minimize labor overtime and repair expenses and hold each department accountable.
  • Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment, guide for replacement or adjustments to plant facilities or equipment when necessary.
  • Provide direction, development, and leadership to managers to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
  • Communication with Senior Managers to improve future objectives for the plant.
  • Develop initiatives to continuously improve manufacturing process operations and implementation of initiatives.
  • Work with the management team to ensure teamwork, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Review and approve plans for the control of planned output, budget spending, material efficiency, and engineering effectiveness.
  • Supervise and manage employees, establishing strong working relationships with other functional managers.
  • Liaise with customers on day-to-day requirements.
  • Comply with all company safety policies and procedures, as well as maintain good housekeeping, GMP practices, and Global Food Safety practices.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Who we are looking for...
  • Bachelors' Degree in a related field or five years of plant/general management experience in a manufacturing environment; partnered with strong leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing operations and maintenance engineering
  • Industry experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques, quality systems, and standards
  • Highly motivated, results oriented.
  • Good working knowledge of relevant legislation, including health and safety.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point
