Full Job Description
PURPOSE: Primarily responsible for ensuring that the company goals and objectives are met in a timely and accurate manner.

JOB SUMMARY: To build a good image of the company, achieve company safety and performance goals, work, and train Production Supervisors, develop programs to keep cost in line, maintain quality of linen, control production costs, meet inventory cost initiatives, and achieve employee turnover goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Provide training and follow-up on department personnel to see that they are performing their jobs in accordance with their job descriptions. Provide daily/weekly coaching to improve supervisor effectiveness.
  • Work with HR Department to determine hiring, training, and employee improvement needs.
  • Assume the responsibility for the Production Supervisors in their absence.
  • Establish and approve PTO and leave schedules for the Production Supervisors.
  • Support KPI goals for Supervisors in consultation with General Manager.
  • Ensure through Supervisors that employees are properly introduced to the Company Objectives, Company Policies, and Safety Standards. Be sure each new employee receives the proper training.
  • Recommend and support employee's incentive programs that enhance production (PPOH) and reduce productive labor percentage.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for operating a plant, HLAC compliance.
  • Keep professionally abreast of the industry by periodic visits to other plants, industry meetings and other pertinent exposure.
  • Review production and goal performance record with the Supervisors routinely throughout the week.
  • Establish production standards and SOP's for each job in the plant. Measure performance against these standards on a daily basis.
  • Confer with the sales, service, and office staff concerning production schedules, quality and customer concerns. Take corrective action as a result of customer surveys as necessary.
  • Notify and work with Maintenance Manager on needed repairs on all equipment in production and soil sort while maintaining written request and follow up for equipment repairs.
  • Ensure that all customers concerns receive a prompt and satisfactory response.
  • Oversee the warehouse area and manage the inventory levels of all linens.
  • Verify safety and quality standards are met daily.
  • Maintain plant organization/cleanliness through proper 5S process management.
  • Provide the level of accountability needed to produce satisfactory, consistent results at all levels of the organization.
  • Perform any other duties as supervisor/manager sees fit.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be a High School Graduate.
  • Must have 3-5 years of related production experience
  • Proficient computer skills in Excel, Word, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Fill in for production positions as needed.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
