Plant Manager who is responsible for managing operations within a complex industry. The successful candidate will be a results-oriented team player with strong analytical skills, a process improvement mindset, detail orientation, and excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Location: Onsite - Bessemer, Alabama
What You'll DoAssist with overseeing policies, procedures and processes designed to minimize costs and maximize production
- Manage production control and methods, maintenance, cost accounting, supply/logistics, distribution, manufacturing and other tasks associated with plant management
- Ensure that plant operations comply with the appropriate safety standards and regulations
- Prepare and maintain plant budgets
- Draft reports regarding plant operations and maintenance
- Ensure that organizational production expectations are met
- Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
- Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
- Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You'll Need to Excel in This Role- Comprehensive knowledge of the field's policies, procedures and practices
- Perform complex tasks
- Lead and direct the work of other employees
- Has full authority for personnel decisions and may have some impact on departmental budgeting, strategic planning and procedural change
- Typically require a bachelor's degree and 7 or more years of experience
Competencies/Skills- Strong computer skills in Excel, Word, MS Office suite
- Strong analytical skills with a high-level of attention to detail and business process
- Strong skills in developing and presenting performance metrics reports
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with others
- Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data
- Ability to prepare and present comprehensive reports
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, including preparing and presenting information
- Ability to work independently and be self-directed as needed
