Plant / General Manager - Lead a Major 24/7 Warehouse Start-Up in Moreno Valley, CA!

Salary Range - $154,000 to $164,000 Annually

Are you an experienced operational leader ready to take on the challenge of launching and leading a large-scale warehouse operation from the ground up? We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Plant / General Manager to lead a high-profile, 24/7 warehouse start-up operation in Moreno Valley, California. This role will provide overall leadership for the site, driving operational performance, customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and continuous improvement across all functions.

What You'll Do
  • Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for a large-scale warehouse operation
  • Lead and develop cross-functional leadership teams including Operations, HR, Quality, Inventory, Safety, Engineering, and IT
  • Drive performance across safety, quality, productivity, customer satisfaction, and financial results
  • Build a strong operational culture focused on accountability, teamwork, engagement, and continuous improvement
  • Partner directly with customers and executive leadership teams
  • Develop and execute startup plans, operational strategies, and long-term growth initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standards
  • Analyze operational metrics and implement initiatives to improve efficiency and performance
  • Lead workforce planning and staffing strategies for a 24/7 operation
  • Support employee development, succession planning, and leadership growth
  • Drive a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement throughout the facility


What We're Looking For
  • Senior leadership experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain operations
  • Proven experience leading large-scale, high-volume operations
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence and inspire teams at all levels
  • Experience managing multi-shift or 24/7 operations preferred
  • Strong operational, financial, and strategic business acumen
  • Experience building teams and processes in start-up or rapidly changing environments
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong customer relationship management experience
  • Ability to lead through change and drive operational transformation


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Start-up, greenfield, or transition experience strongly preferred
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience is a plus
  • Experience supporting large employee populations in operational environments
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus


About the Role

How you will contribute

Ensure that customer expectations are met and/or exceeded within the confines of company guidelines.
  • Quarterly presentations to customer senior management relative to our scorecard and initiatives.
  • Participate in customer invited meetings e.g. 9:30 am to support Customer strategic objectives
  • Communicate with the customer and demonstrate initiatives supporting continuous improvement.


Meet company objectives with respect to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale and Environment.
  • Quarterly presentations to senior management of syncreon re Plant objectives and initiatives
  • Establish 5 year / contract life business plan, annual budgets and ensure targets are met
  • Local initiatives to ensure plant progression in all regards


Adopt continuous improvement within the workplace.
  • Plan and execute the concepts of lean manufacturing
  • Ensure the plant plans and executes productivity tasks on an annual and ongoing basis
  • Prioritize activities associated with the elimination of waste in all aspects of our operations


Organizational Strengthening
  • Continue to build a stronger salaried team capable of leading the hourly workforce into the demands of the future.
  • Improve employee relations and morale through participation of personnel from the shop floor and instill behavioral discipline
  • Improve communication throughout the organization and at all levels


Work with Trade Unions (if applicable)
  • Continue to identify and eliminate past practices that may impact the financial wellbeing of the plant.
  • Work with union personnel to improve day to day operations while limiting the emotional impact on the workforce
  • Adopt union representatives as part of the business to maximize their contribution to achieve overall objectives


New Business
  • Work with the business development and account management group to identify business opportunities within the capabilities of the plant and local area
  • Ensure the plant participates in all activities surrounding potential business and future profitability
  • Ensure the plant is always in a state that maximizes its appeal to outsiders and potential customers

Quality and Environmental Management Systems
  • Participate as an active member of the management team in supporting ISO 14001 and ensuring that their direct reports abide by these processes and operating work instructions
  • Drive, Attend and participate in both ISO TS 16949 and ISO 14001 management review


Your Key Qualifications
  • A college or university degree related to manufacturing is preferred and / or MBA
  • Managerial experience at various levels and/or other manufacturing locations
  • Manufacturing / logistics background in the automotive industry is preferred
  • Job experience in a Tier 1 operation is beneficial
  • A production, materials and quality control background compliment skill set
