Plant Financial Analyst
The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Plant Financial Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Providing financial insights and developing predictive analytics to support plant financial performance.
- Leading plant and business teams through the annual forecasting process, including preparation and submission of the plant’s annual P&L and Balance Sheet Operating Plan.
- Preparing accurate weekly and monthly financial forecasts, performing variance analysis, and supporting month-end close activities for the plant.
- Ensuring compliance with 3M Global Financial Standards and GAAP requirements.
- Maintaining accurate costing for current SKUs during the annual inventory revaluation process and throughout the year as needed.
- Analyzing financial return on investment and driving improved returns on plant expenditures, including AFE (Authorization for Expenditure) initiatives.
- Providing financial support to other plants, as assigned.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start).
- Six (6) years of experience in Finance, or Accounting, or manufacturing supply chain in a private, public, government, or military environment.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Possess an MBA, CMA, or CPA certification.
- Demonstrate the ability to act as a change agent.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel.
Work location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the Red Wing, MN Plant or 3M Center in Maplewood, MN
Travel: May include up to 10% domestic
