Full Job Description
Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is seeking a Planning and Materials Manager to join their team in Hutchins, TX! In this role, you will manage our purchasing and inventory control functions as well as provide support to production scheduling on all material flow issues to meet production schedules and customer requirements.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the planning, purchasing, storage, and distribution of materials and inventory.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent shortages and reduce excess stock.
  • Coordinate with procurement, production, warehouse, and logistics teams to support operations.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy through audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation processes.
  • Analyze demand forecasts and material usage to support production schedules.
  • Provide day-to-day oversight of the manufacturing schedule, ensuring plans are built to maximize throughput and minimize downtime.
  • Manage supplier relationships, pricing negotiations, and delivery performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and material handling standards.
  • Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste and costs.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting within ERP/MRP inventory systems.
  • Lead and supervise materials and warehouse staff to ensure productivity and operational success.
  • Lead the onboarding of new projects and products while providing leadership and direction to the pre-press team to support successful execution.


You Must Have:
  • 7+ years of experience in the field
  • Prior supervisory/leadership experience in a production or warehouse environment
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse software
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
