Planner I at our
Elmira facility, you will serve as a key link between customers, operations, and supply chain teams by developing and executing production plans that meet customer demand while optimizing resources and minimizing business risk. Through effective demand management, scheduling, and forecasting, you will help drive customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across planning processes.
Location:On-site at our Elmira facility.
What Will You Do?- Partner with customers and Business Unit teams to develop a collaborative demand plan through effective execution of the demand management process.
- Create and maintain a Master Production Schedule (MPS) through resource analysis, including material and capacity planning.
- Load and maintain production schedules within the ERP/MRP system.
- Develop and maintain a feasible operational plan that aligns customer demand with manufacturing capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Materials, and Supply Chain teams to ensure successful execution of production plans.
- Develop and monitor revenue forecasts, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions when performance deviates from targets.
- Monitor key planning metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.
- Analyze demand fluctuations, capacity constraints, and material availability to mitigate potential disruptions.
- Maintain clear communication with customers and internal stakeholders regarding planning activities and schedule commitments.
- Comply with all company security policies, procedures, and operational standards.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Management & Supervisory Responsibilities- Typically reports to Management. Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include: Planning Supervisor, Planning Manager, Materials Manager.
- Job is not directly responsible for managing other employees.
How Will You Get Here?Education & Experience- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 years of materials, planning, supply chain, or related experience preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and production planning processes.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other PC-based applications.
- Ability to analyze demand, material requirements, and capacity constraints to develop effective production plans.
- Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to read and interpret procedures, reports, and operational documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to calculate percentages, ratios, and other business-related metrics.
- Knowledge of basic algebra and mathematical concepts related to planning and forecasting.
- Proficient verbal and written English skills.

The pay range for this role is $62,400 - $98,800. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
