Come join the Traylor family! Sterling Industrial LLC., is currently looking for an Piping Superintendent in Point Pleasant, WV.
This job will require heavy travel and/or relocation to a job site out of state.
Position Summary:
The Project Superintendent is responsible for the oversight of all site piping craft personnel supporting the overall project scope, working directly with Construction Manager, Construction Engineers, and clients from conception to completion. Duties include managing, in conjunction with Construction Manager, labor issues, development and execution of construction means and methods, oversight of work plans, safety, and management of construction risk and ensure quality construction standards are met. He/she must also be able to ensure craft time reporting is accurate, on time and on budget. He/she must also be able to calculate material and equipment needs, and order materials and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise piping installation crews and subcontractors.
• Develop daily work plans.
• Coordinate manpower and equipment requirements.
• Monitor productivity and schedule performance.
• Coordinate inspections and testing.
• Support turnover activities.
• Maintain quality standards.
Craft Safety Responsibilities
• Lead safe execution of piping activities.
• Conduct pre-task planning sessions.
• Ensure hazards and controls are communicated.
• Verify permit compliance.
• Conduct daily and weekly HIT Walks.
• Utilize HIT Walk findings during crew planning.
• Correct unsafe conditions immediately.
• Reinforce stop-work authority.

Education/Experience
• 10 - 15 years of field experience in industrial and power construction and 5 years in field management positions
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology (preferred)

Physical Demands
• Travel will be required to attend trainings, meetings and could be project / site based for extended periods of time.
• Ability to sit or stand for entire shift
• Occasionally required to stoop, bend, walk, crouch, and climb
• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federals, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 10 lbs.
