Pineland Area Manager / Alternate Program Manager
North and South Pineland / Central North Carolina


Summary:

The Pineland Area Manager / Alternate Program Manager (APM) is who supervises all Pineland Lane Managers, serves as the designated Alternate Program Manager, supports Field Team / Company leadership, and provides operational and support continuity for Robin Sage and related Special Forces Qualification Course training. The position functions in both garrison and field environments and supports unconventional warfare (UW) and Irregular Warfare (IW) scenario development, independent-contractor oversight, training coordination, safety, and exercise execution.

Job Duties:
• Supervise all Pineland Lane Managers and serve as the Area Manager for both the North Pineland and South Pineland exercise areas.
• Serve as the designated Alternate Program Manager and support Field Team / Company leadership in garrison and field environments.
• Support UW and IW training scenario development, including scripts and Desired Student Responses in accordance with the Program of Instruction / doctrine.
• Provide operational and support continuity for Field Team / Company leadership, including re-training, SOP development, area development, and scenario development.
• Supervise and maintain accountability for independent contractors supporting the Field Team / Company, including G-Chiefs, OPFOR, Guerrilla Forces, Auxiliary personnel, and Communicators.
• During CULEX, assist Lane Managers in preparing role players, tracking personnel status, supporting OPCEN establishment and recovery, and coordinating transportation, facilities, and adjunct role players.
• Attend Field Team / Company briefings before operations; back brief proposed role-playing details and adjust execution in accordance with Government decisions.
• Maintain oversight of continuity products, scenario-support products, synchronization meetings, and the onboarding/refresher program for Lane Managers.
• Assist with classroom, field, and Robin Sage training; act as a safety officer and pause training when an unsafe act is observed.
• Support health, welfare, safety, equipment accountability, personnel rosters, and reporting for contracted role players and independent contractors.
• Work with Team(s) / Company when hiring new Lane Managers, G-Chiefs, independent contractors, OPFOR, and other role players; role play as required by the training scenario.

Basic Qualifications:
• Army qualified, in good standing, 18 series Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience.
• Current and valid SECRET security clearance.
• Ability to move three (3) miles cross-country over varying terrain on foot, carrying a thirty-pound rucksack and load-bearing equipment, within three (3) hours.

Other Requirements:

Performance Location: North and South Pineland exercise areas / central North Carolina; training may occur in and around Camp Mackall and Fort Bragg as applicable to the exercise.

Information Assurance Technician Level I

Working Environment:

The position functions in both garrison and field environments throughout the Pineland training area. Duties include classroom and field support, Robin Sage exercise activity, cross-country movement over varying terrain, and supervision of personnel operating in field conditions. Requires the Area Manager to be able to move three miles cross-country on foot while carrying a thirty-pound rucksack and load-bearing equipment within three hours. Training schedules may include extended and variable exercise hours, including limited-visibility periods, weekends, and federal holidays during exercises.
