West Virginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute and the Department of Neurology in the WVU School of Medicine are seeking a Movement Disorders specialist qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV.
Duties: In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students and neurology residents.
Qualifications: Successful candidates must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical licensure. Candidate must have completed a neurology residency program and movement disorders fellowship program and be board certified/eligible in neurology and movement disorders. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
Candidates will join an active multidisciplinary team including neurologists, neurosurgeons, advanced practice providers, neuropathologists, and physical, occupational, and speech therapists for collaboration in the areas of patient care, research and education. WVU Neurology has an active multidisciplinary ALS clinic and the only MDA clinic in West Virginia. Our clinic offers a range of some of the most innovative approaches available including DBS, injections, medications, MR-guided focused ultrasound, rehabilitation and speech therapy.
