Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine; specialty training in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Correctional Medicine, and/or Urgent Care preferred.
• Licensed to practice Medicine in New York.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible.
• Current DEA number; eligible to prescribe medications in New York state.
• Active BLS certification (CPR).
• Current Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct medical services on-site across multiple correctional facilities.
• Collaborate with facility staff to ensure comprehensive medical care.
• Implement and oversee medical protocols and standards within the facilities.
• Address healthcare needs and manage medical emergencies for incarcerated populations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and comply with relevant laws and regulations.
