Compensation Range

The base pay scale for this position is $187,898.88 - $204,886.38. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.

What you will be doing

The Physician Practice Physician Assistant is a licensed physician assistant who is responsible for assessment and management of patients in the physician practice setting. Responsibilities include but are not limited to physician specific ambulatory management (responsibilities extending beyond the office setting, inclusive of hospital rounding/perioperative and postop patient management will require Hospital credentialing by the Medical Board).

Your role is essential to promoting a professional atmosphere through courteous communication, cooperation and respect for patients, visitors and members of the healthcare team.  In addition, you will be responsible for upholding stellar customer service practices for patients and families.

Job Qualifications

Education – Required

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Master’s degree Physician Assistant Studies
  • Graduate of CAAHEP accredited Physician Assistant Training Program

Certifications/Licensure – Required

  • Active license in New York/New Jersey/Connecticut (Based on Position’s Location/Physician’s sessional time)
  • Current NCCPA certification, including 100 hours of continuing medical education logged every 2 years and recertification taken and successfully passed every 6-10 years
  • Current Infection Control Certificate  
  • Completion of child abuse recognition course
  • ACLS and BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • DEA license

Experience – Required

  • 1-2 years relevant experience in outpatient or ambulatory setting 

Experience – Preferred

  • Experience in musculoskeletal/orthopedic practice preferred. 

Skills – Required

  • Critical thinking, in-depth experience, professional knowledge in area of specialty; updated on the latest new, trends, and treatments.
