Full Job Description
We are recruiting a highly motivated, experienced Physician Assistant to join our dynamic Cardiothoracic Surgery inpatient APP team. Our Cardiothoracic Surgery program is recognized nationally and performs the highest volume of adult open-heart surgeries in the state of Michigan. This team consists of APPs who provide surgical first assisting and critical care management of the Cardiothoracic Surgery patient. The APP will function independently as a cardiothoracic surgery physician assistant with first assisting in the operating room, endoscopic vein and radial artery harvesting, critical care and general medical care of pre- and post-operative cardiothoracic surgery patients. They work collaboratively with their physician colleagues in a team-based care model to provide high level cardiac care. 2+ years APP experience preferred.

  • LIC-Physician Assistant - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Physician Asst Certified (PA-C) - NCCPA National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required Or
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required
  • CRT-Pediatric Adv Life Support (PALS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required
