How you'll contribute The Physical Therapist (PT) in an Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital is responsible for evaluating and treating patients with injuries, illnesses, or functional impairments to restore mobility, reduce pain, and improve overall independence. This role develops individualized treatment plans and delivers targeted therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing strength, balance, and functional movement. The PT collaborates closely with an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to support patient progress and discharge planning, while providing education to patients and caregivers on ongoing care and home exercise programs. Accurate and timely documentation, along with adherence to regulatory and safety standards, is essential. Strong clinical skills and the ability to build rapport with patients are critical to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a dynamic rehab setting.

What we're looking for Applicants should have
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program
- Current Physical Therapist license to practice
- Experience in inpatient rehab preferred
- Basic Life Support/CPR certification

More about Rehabilitation Hospital of Rhode Island offers specialized inpatient rehab for patients in the North Smithfield, Rhode Island community. Programs are designed to help patients recover from a variety of injuries and illnesses, including brain, orthopedic and spinal cord injuries, stroke, neurological conditions, trauma and amputation. Our programs center around the individual needs of each patient to improve health, function and quality of life. Acute inpatient rehabilitation facilities differ from other post-acute options, such as skilled nursing facilities, most notably in the amount of quality physical, occupational and speech therapy offered, and medical oversight provided.
Hourly range: $34.11 - 53.14 per hour.
