Providence Valdez Medical Center (PVMC) consists of two departments, the Critical Access Hospital which is licensed for 11 beds and the Extended Care Center that is licensed for 10 beds. This department is responsible for providing rehabilitation services to the community and the long term care residents.
The Physical Therapist coordinates the care of patients and gives directions to the P.T. Assistants and Rehab Aides and consults and communicates with the physician and DPCS. The overall patient care activities of this position are clearly defined in department policies, procedures, and schedules and in standards of the profession. The incumbent provides care within the boundaries of physician orders and department procedures and policies.
The major challenges of this position are dealing with constant changing and varying patient needs and with keeping skills and knowledge up to date in this changing environment.
Required Qualifications:- Coursework/Training Graduation from a course of study approved by the Council of Medical Education.
- Bachelor's Degree Physical Therapy Or
- Master's Degree Physical Therapy Or
- Ph.D. Physical Therapy
- Upon hire: Alaska Physical Therapist License
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
